Welcome back to the wasteland: Fallout Season 2 is here!

The Civil War is already knocking on the Vault door. Pack your Nuka-Cola and load your laser rifle we are back in the wasteland!

The second season of Fallout has started, and this time’s getting really wild. Prime Video has decided not to serve us all episodes at once (probably using too much RadAway to survive the binge frenzy), but to release them weekly. A clever move: So the hype stays fresh longer and we have more time to argue about theories between the consequences in the vault.

Let's go to New Vegas!

The story starts right where we left off, which means: Dust, drama and moral dilemma as far as the eye can see. Lucy continues to search for her father, while the ghoul (still with the charm of a rusty gatling) goes on her own family research. Maybe there are relatives out there on ice. Literally.

Hank Maclean begins to see through the Vault experiments (Spoiler: He will Not amused Maximus finally saw through the Brotherhood cult. In short: Everyone carries mental radioactivity with them.

A little insight gives the trailer, a lot of fun:

Mr. House enters the stage

And then, dear Wastelander, comes the great moment: Robert House from Fallout: New Vegas Makes his series debut! Played by Justin Theroux, it's the perfect mix of Howard Hughes, Walt Disney and Elon Musk. Stylish with the moral compass of a computer that just has a blue screen. Finally, there's the big crossover moment we've been waiting for for the game nerds.

House-high monitors, robotic armies, and a plan to save humanity from itself. That sounds familiar, doesn't it? Only this time does it look damn stylish.

More story, more chaos, more wasteland

Season 2 has turned up quite a bit: More storylines, more characters (yes, Macaulay Culkin Christmas can come!) and of course more Easter Eggs than there would be room in a Vault-Tec Easter egg. Even a few questions from Season 1 will finally be answered. Oh, and if you thought you knew what humanity really meant, buckle up.

'Cause that's the beauty of Fallout: Underneath all the rubble, dust and retro sound is always a story about what it means to be human: With all our mistakes, dreams and patterns that we can't get rid of even after a nuclear apocalypse.

Gamestar goes into details very informatively in this video with a review of season 1 (with spoiler) as well as a detailed look at the games to the second season (but without big spoilers):

What would Christmas be without the Ghoul?

If you get bored between weekly episodes: Prime has prepared a small gift for you: Fallout: The Christmas ghoul. It's so weird that even Todd Howard must have giggled. I won't tell you more, but let's say: There is a rather unusual lead role.

So, Wastelanders: Get into the power armor, away with the Pip Boy alarm, because season 2 is calling. And who knows, maybe this time we will not only find New Vegas, but also a little bit of humanity between the atomic mushrooms.

War always remains the same, but fortunately series sometimes get even better.
