From July 1st to today, the 31st, I have now published daily content on leve92.fun, sometimes slightly modified later but otherwise only observed without further measures.
In particular, I did not pay attention to the usual optimization strategies, but focused as much as possible on the content of the website. These are very text-heavy, often written as examples or testimonials / instructions and tips / tricks and link above average often further or more in-depth details as well as sources of information.
SEO plugins were deliberately omitted, as well as the usual practice of backlinks or other trust, authority, or relevance boosters to achieve a higher ranking. The site is also not a ‘Metatag Mecca’ (with the exception of the title of the website and the short description, which is included as an example below) and the importance of this information, which is invisible to the visitor, has become more and more obscure over the past few years.
Google, for example, now produces summaries based on the found and indexed content and ignores its own meta info, mainly for the good reason that the descriptions often do not reflect the actual content or are simply too short or too long. Again and again the question arises why Google displays exactly this text instead of the meta description. You can only prevent this now if you the display of this section completely prohibited, the meta description of the page is, at best, a ‘guideline’ for Google, not, as it used to be, a law.
<title> Conclusion on usage after the first month Blogposts on www.level92.fun </title> <meta name="description" content= "From 1 July to today, the 31st I have now published daily content on http://www.leve92.fun but otherwise only observed without further measures" />
Since only the content can speak for itself and these are also deliberately located in a relatively narrow topic area, the target group for the blog is also clearly defined.
So let's take a look at what has been generated in the first month of evaluable data on use and what lessons and conclusions can be drawn from it:
Evaluation:
First, a brief note on this: Detailed data collection has been deliberately omitted so that, for example, users with browsers send the ‘do not track’ requests or visitors who only allow functional cookies on the cookie banner appear invisible for this evaluation. The tracking here is therefore primarily limited to "Someone from somewhere looked at Article X" I also don't provide detailed statistics. The figures may therefore be set a little too low.
| Month July 2024 | |
| Total visitors: | 162 |
| Total contributions: | 39 |
| Most popular page of the week: | 14 calls from News from the KW30.2025 |
| Most popular page of the month: | 36 calls from https://www.level92.fun/lv92/ |
| Top referrer: | (7) google.com (2) google.de |
| Most visited 404 page: | /heimnetz-nas-baustelle-level-6/ |
| Words per article (average): | 1280 |
| Words in total: | 49920 |
I look forward to seeing how the next month will develop.
ToDo:
Well, we now have a first data set and also the first information about the use of the site, admittedly the database is still a bit thin in a completely new project after a month, but even the few previous data can already help on the What works well to concentrate and not to get lost in the grind, level92 Sweet Spot Hold on, as advertised.
Heading structure:
What I noticed in the course of this last week in July and therefore I have already started to control against, are the heading structures as well as those of the links in the blog.
Initially, I tried to keep most article headings as short and crisp as possible, as well as to limit the links to a maximum of 3-4 words. However, this self-imposed restriction inevitably leads to a problem with visibility in search engines, which is why I am now trying to establish a solution in August.
Navigation:
I was also able to improve the general navigation by the end of the month with the additional keyword and topic overview, you can now find much faster suitable articles on topics that interest you personally. A ‘back to top’ – ‘back to home’ – ‘search option’ has also appeared at the end of each article.
During the tests over the last 2 days (and at the request of visitors) I have now also added a centered float menu at the right edge of each article, which allows the functionality to the top or end of the page at any point in the article. Maybe this will completely replace the last manually inserted test navigation at the end of the article, first I have to keep both.
Another plus now is the possibility to share a link at the end of the article on the (in my opinion) common platforms. Manually this is already given via the title line but especially on tablet or mobile phone so naturally more convenient.
If you're wondering what has changed, does it all look like before? – So if you don't see all these changes, try the page with right mouse button -> Update or the F5 button reload, it may well be that you retrieve them from your browser cache and therefore these changes will not be displayed to you otherwise.
Implementation of feedback:
Furthermore, I will continue to loosen up the very text-heavy articles with pictures and/or videos that fit the topic and I was made aware that the simple black and white look of the page is in stark contrast to the TLD .fun. This will also be an issue in August. Possibly different than expected ⁇
Until now, thank you for your feedback and continue to have fun. If anyone else would like to get in touch, please a few lines send by email.
